The net casino industry in the UK has increased two fold in five years, with more than one million bettors regularly betting via the internet. According to research conducted by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, British bettors make up approximately one-third of Europe’s approximated total of 3.3 million net bettors.
The typical sum spent by every bettor is approximated at one thousand pounds, with the European business now valued at £3.5bn annually.
