Net Casino Sucker Wagers — Part 2

  • Progressive side bets: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker often have one of these. You usually put a bet ($1 is the normal amount) to attempt to win a side jackpot that could be upwards of $25,000. Though big jackpots like these are very tempting, they’re also particularly difficult to win. You might need to hit a Royal Flush in order to win this wager. Also, imagine this- you wager 20 hands and place the side bet each time. That is $20 you could have used towards the actual game bet in place of a sucker wager. Picture what you might have been able to win at a wager with greater odds utilizing that $20.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has two 0’s on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has just one. This takes the overall house advantage from 2% with a single zero wheel to a whopping five% in American. The single number bet has only a 1 in thirty eight chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets alternately which have a much smaller casino advantage.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you wager on it, the casino advantage can be a huge twenty-five percent. No, that isn’t a typo. Because of the large set of numbers you must pick, it’s not recommended to gamble on Keno to often. A few times for enjoyment, maybe. But do not spend all your money on it or you will quickly find yourself beaten.
